Our overall stay was fine. The gentleman we met that explained the house and supplied keys and information about the parking did a very good job. The major road construction in the street made things somewhat complicated. The room was updated with new bathroom and kitchen area. It had rooms so two couples could stay there easily. The area is in an old center city but it is also close to many historical locations.
We had a great time at Maison Jamaer. The place is classic. It is clean and well managed. Marc was very friendly and accommodating. He made sure to welcome us personally and toured us around the place. We had welcome fruits and cakes waiting for us in our room. The kitchen is clean and well equipped. And the service is superb. We will definitely recommend this place to our families and friends. Thank you so much Marc.

Our stay was so wonderfull. Not only the house but also the hosts and the chocolate cake are very sweet. :-) They had good suggestions for us and waited patiently, when we were late at the day of our arrival. We wouold love to come back!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very charming and perfectly placed close to the Grand Place so we could walk everywhere. It was warm and very quiet considering how close to the centre it is. We received a really warm welcome when we arrived.
We had an amazing stay. The building and room were beautiful, and we had everything we needed. The host was very communicative and generous. The location was excellent, with both Midi Station and Grand Place just a short walk away. Being just far enough from Grand Place, the guest house had a local community atmosphere that we really enjoyed. I hope we can go back again!
We loved our stay and were really grateful to Marc and Jean-Louis for being so friendly and helpful when I left something behind. The room was great and we really liked the location, finding it very convenient and interesting. There are roadworks going on outside, but they did not affect us at all. We have been in Maison Jamaer for 2 nights, wit 2 kids in the familiale suite. Very beautiful and historical building. Marc was very gentle, friendly and welcoming. The flat is really clean, free fresh fruits, hand made chocolate cake and free nespresso coffee and tea offered. This was really much appreciated. The position is really closed to the grand place, it is in Stalingrad Rue which is the Muslim zone. You can minimarkets, boulangerie and bar very closed to the house at the cheapest prices ever!!!! Special mention to Boulangerie Marrakesh, with a wonderful fresh and very high quality bread and croissants at lower prices then in Italy also!!!! We left the flat on Sunday, and on the way to the Gare De Midi there was a very big market en plein air (Arabian) with fruits, vegetables, dresses and everything at little prices (never seen so low prices!). Maison Jamaer highly recommended for couples and also family.

Excellent apartment for a family of four. It is 10 minutes walk to the Grand Place. House was beautiful with 14 foot ceilings and wonderful staircases and doors. Beds were very comfortable and the space was meticulously cleaned. Marc met us on the day of arrival and gave suggestions on restaurants. Don't be confused by the email requesting money. This is just the city visit tax. I would definitely return to stay again if I am in Brussels. Highly recommend.
The accommodation was very good and a warm helpful welcome. It would be a 10 but the building/engineering works outside were quite noisy and disruptive. The parking was safe and secure, so top marks there too.
We had a very large room in an amazing old house in Brussels. Absolutely delightful and very comfortable. Near train station and only a short walk to the centre. Marc looked after us very well. Enjoyed our stay very much.
This was a lovely place. Close to everything. It was wonderful having a refrigerator. If we were staying longer we would have definitely used the kitchen. I would definitely stay there again.
The cozy attic room in which I stayed for a full week was charming and private, with large windows and room darkening curtains. The "kitchenette" with a larger-than-average hotel fridge, espresso maker and tea kettle served my needs perfectly. The bed was very comfortable. I even loved the sound of nearby trains. The surrounding neighborhood is vibrant and diverse, with plenty of restaurants and markets, and is within walking distance of the Grand Place and Gare du Mudi train station. Maison Jamaer owner Marc was attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay again in this remarkable, historic home.
Room was amazing, really spacious and clean. Jean Louis was a really great host and he helped us with everything. Location was great too, 10 minute walking straight to the station and the city centre. Would definitely book again if we come back ☺️
We really enjoyed our stay in Maison Jamaer, which was very good located to the center of Brussels. We loved to have coffee and tea in the cute studio appartment.
This is the second time that we stayed in Maison Jamaer, and of course we’ll come back for the third one ☺️. We really enjoyed our staying, the studio is beautiful and in a very special house, it is situated in the center, in a wonderful position and 15 minutes walking from MIDI Station. Marc is a fantastic host.
Beautiful historical house with lofty ceilings and in a great location. Marc, the host, was very kind, allowing us to check in early and keep our luggage for the last morning we were there. Highly recommend!
